Museum Teacher (Part-Time)

Museum Teachers support the mission of Historic Bethlehem, which is to bring history to life by educating the public about Bethlehem's rich heritage; by preserving historic sites; and by collecting, preserving, and exhibiting historical and artistic objects that can be used to tell the stories of Bethlehem's people.

Museum Teachers
Facilitate learning experiences at Historic Bethlehem Museum and Sites
Implement educational outreach programs at area schools
Understand and are familiar with educational program content
Manage groups of up to 25 school students and their chaperones
Provide safe and encouraging active learning experiences for children of all ages.

Qualifications
Professional knowledge of best practices in K-8 education
Bachelor's Degree in elementary education
One-year experience teaching K-8 students

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Must possess exceptional ability to relate to children and teachers
High Energy
Flexibility and works well with colleagues
Ability to walk and stand for up to three hours
Required to wear period appropriate attire during program

Background Checks
All candidates are required to pass Child Abuse Clearance Act 151, FBI Fingerprint Clearance Act 114, and PA State Police Act 34 background checks.

Museum Store Sales Associate (Part Time)

Position Requirements:

Be an enthusiastic advocate for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites and its mission by promoting its museums, tours, events, and benefits of membership

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Provide visitor information

Manage store inventory

Answer phones, process ticket sales and retail purchases

Provide exceptional guest service by remaining professional and enthusiastic in all situations
