100 Years of Gift Giving Programs
100 Years of Gift Giving Programs - Sponsored by Golden Pepper Productions Inc.
Kid’s Program- Wrapping Paper Workshop: The Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts will offer a Wrap- ping Paper Workshop for children. Attendees will be able to make their own wrapping paper using potato stamps and paper bags. We will discuss why we wrap gifts, what makes “good” wrapping paper and what a wrapping paper designer may have to consider when developing pat- terns or papers, while kids work to make their own wrapping paper to take home and use. We will also talk about the environmental impact of wrapping paper and ways to reduce the amount of holiday waste while upholding the tradition of wrapping gifts.

Cookie Exchange: Inspired by the tradition popularized in 1971 by Wellesley Cookie Exchange, you are invited to attend a cookie recipe exchange at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. Using provided recipe cards featuring vintage designs, broaden your cookie repertoire while learning about the history of Cookie Exchanges in the United States. We will also provide a presentation on adapting your existing cookie recipes to be healthier through vegan substitutes.
