Celebrate the decorative arts at the 31st annual Rooms to View House & Garden Tour!
This year’s SOLD OUT preview night is hosted by David and Jane Noel at their at Villa Verde home in Center Valley! Experience a breathtaking view complete with beautifully manicured lawns and gardens. This stately home features uniquely-styled décor with a modern, rustic feel, and special architectural touches.
The Noels purchased the home in late 2017, and expanded and reimagined the property. Christine Ussler of Artefact redesigned the front façade, adding to the garage and laundry/pantry, and created a grand atrium that connects all three levels with stairs and an elevator.
Chiles and Sillivan built the original house in 2001, and supplied the same craftsmen to execute all additions. Scott Rothenberger of PLACE designed the welcoming courtyard at the home entrance. The hardscape was installed by Made in Shade. Interior redesigns are by Decoration Unlimited.
The special event features delicious food by Karen Hunter Catering and live music. As the sun sets, don’t miss the opportunity to mingle and network with other guests from around the Lehigh Valley!
The Saturday Tour features nine more spectacular homes in Bethlehem’s historic district and the Lehigh Valley. Tourists can experience some of the area’s most inspiring homes, gardens, patios, kitchens, and distinctive designs.
New this year, guests can also enjoy refreshment stands, pop-up shops, and plants for sale.
Among Saturday’s featured locations is the handsome homestead of Bob and Jeannie Hunsicker along Black River Road in Bethlehem. Here, guest can enjoy live music, shop the HBMS pop-up store, and explore the authentic farm.
After Saturday’s tour, visitors are invited to enjoy a wine and cheese garden reception at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Here, guests can check out HBMS’ new exhibition Unspun: Stories of Silk — a colorful exhibition that begins with the Bethlehem Moravians’ attempts to create the world’s most luxurious and useful fabric.
Through stories, displays, artwork, and hands-on activities, this display unravels the original manufacturing attempts of local silk makers, and reveals how these efforts influenced this mysterious material’s magical journey from Bethlehem’s Church Street to the global marketplace.
The exhibition is presented in part through funding from the Helen & R.K. Laros Foundation.
