It’s that time of year again… happy Musikfest!
We can’t wait to rock out to some of our favorite artists, explore Bethlehem, and hang with friends and family along the way. Our favorite part of Musikfest though? Fest at the Mill—the perfect opportunity to cool down a little, learn more about Bethlehem’s past, and celebrate its bright future.
Want to learn more about all of our Fest at the Mill offerings? Keep reading.

Luckenbach Mill: Our mill is chock-full of awesome activities bound to entertain guests of all ages, including children’s colonial crafts, ‘Mugshots’, and the Lehigh Art Alliance 83rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition.
Children’s Colonial Crafts: Go back in time with us as we make our very own pinch pots, create “penny pockets”, and learn “tin-punching” techniques!
Mugshots: Through photography and oral history recording, ‘Mugshots’ captures the impact of Musikfest, the festival that has transformed Bethlehem for 10 days each August since 1984. Listen to the interviews recorded last year, and record your own history of Musikfest with a volunteer interviewer. Recordings will be sent to the Library of Congress to be archived!
Lehigh Art Alliance 83rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition: See the 83rd Annual Fall Juried Exhibition on display at the renovated Luckenbach Mill. Enjoy a variety of original two and three-dimensional works of art from regional artists, many available for purchase! You can even get a realistic pencil portrait drawn for $20 by an LVA Artist! Proceeds benefit both the Lehigh Art Alliance and Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites.
Historic Artifact Cleanings: Do you have a love for history or maybe an interest in archaeology? Learn what Archaeology is all about and the importance it plays in understanding and preserving human history for FREE this Saturday, August 11. This is your LAST opportunity to watch Melissa and Christian show you artifact cleaning techniques (our August 25th date is now cancelled) and guide you through the process on pieces of clay and pottery from a dig by the 1761 Tannery. Join us in getting hands-on with local history!
The 1750 Smithy: Watch live blacksmithing demonstrations from a professional blacksmith, purchase original forged metals, and check out Musikfest memorabilia for sale!
Historic Bethlehem Springhouse Store: Check out some more of our awesome Musikfest and Bethlehem
memorabilia to take your Musikfest memories home with you.
Rise & Fall of Bethlehem Steel and Hoover-Mason Trestle Tours: Learn more about Bethlehem Steel, the second largest steel producer in the U.S. and the largest shipbuilder in the world. Tickets required.
1810 Goundie House Market: Shop vintage goodies at the beautiful Marche Maison Vintage Market, including jewelry, home décor, accessories, and more! You can also sample wine (3 tastings for $6) and wine slushies ($10 each) from Boos-Rock Winery.
Visitor’s Center: Stay hydrated and stock up on the cheapest water in town – bottled water available for $2.00 each!
Stop by and learn about all of Historic Bethlehem’s activities and happenings during Musikfest and beyond. Purchase your Musikfest mug here and directly support 20 historic sites in Bethlehem!
*Note: Unfortunately our 1762 Waterworks site will be closed during Musikfest due to flooding. We encourage everyone to stop by when it opens back up to see the first pumped municipal water system in America!
