April 17th, 2012 |

Some of the earliest photographic images of Bethlehem were taken by M. A. Kleckner who documented his home town in the mid-1860s.  Kleckner went on to be a prolific photographer, working in Mauch Chunk, PA (present-day Jim Thorpe) and later in Kansas, where he died in 1930.
