New Local Artist

On Friday we installed our latest local artist, a wonderful photographer named Michael Sandy.   He honed his skills at a staff photographer for the American Red Cross before attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

There is a unique quality to Michael’s photographs, one that he attests is down to the various techniques he has discovered and perfected.  However, those are trade secrets, so you’ll just have to come visit the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts if you want to see them up close.

All photographs will be available for purchase and I encourage visitors to see his show multiple times, as we will be rotating pieces out throughout the course of his exhibit.  Currently, there are some stunning sunset depictions of the Steel Stacks contrasted with some stark white winter scenes, like the one below.
