Back again for its 34th year, the Blueberry Festival is returning to Bethlehem’s Burnside Plantation in July. The festival is your one stop shop for everything blueberry including baked goods, ice cream, blueberry-flavored ingredients, coffees, and themed merchandise. This year, the Blueberry Festival is back to its full in-person format with the addition of the Market To Go following last year’s success. The Blueberry Festival will be in person Saturday, July 17 from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday, July 18 from 10 am to 6 pm. The Market To Go will be July 19 through 21, 10 am to 6 pm each day.
On-site family-friendly activities this year include old favorites like live music across two stages, local crafters and vendors to shop from, pony rides and petting zoo from Sunset Boarding Stables, kid’s games, crafts, and activities, live demonstrations, garden and barn tours, and more. With activities going on throughout the day, there is family fun for everyone available any time during your visit.
Step inside the Blueberry Brewery tent where you’ll have the opportunity to taste various samples of beer, wine, and liquor from local producers! Sample blueberry themed beverages from 14th Fret Brewing Company, Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery, Cave Brewing Co., Logyard Brewery, Lost Tavern Brewing, McCall Collective Brewing Company, and Xplorer Spirits. Purchase your favorite and sit back and enjoy the live entertainment at the Blueberry Brewery Stage. A combo pass is available for visitors 21 and over that includes festival admission, five tastings, and a commemorative tasting glass. Passes can be purchased in advance online.
sFeeling more on the competitive side? We have a number of contest to enter and win prizes! The Blueberry Culinary Contest, hosted and judged by the Young Chef’s Academy – Allentown offers children and adults the change to tantalize the judges with their best blueberry dessert recipe. Prefer eating to baking? Register for the Pie Eating Contest to show off your eating skills and take home a prize for being the first to complete your pie. Finally, if you’re bringing your four-legged friend along, dress them in their best blueberry costume for the Dog Parade where dogs will strut their stuff through Burnside Plantation. Registration for all contests is free but does not include admission to the festival.
Get your fill of everything blueberry by stopping by the dessert tent where we’ll be serving up everyone’s favorite treats. Available will be pies from Tomblers Bakery, coffee cake and strudel from The Bakery Nook, ice cream from Bethlehem Dairy store, and fresh blueberries. Want even more to take home? Pre-order your favorites or a little bit of everything in the online store for convenient pickup during the Market To Go, July 19-21 10 am to 6 pm.
