Thinking about buying some new decorations or furniture items for your home? Upcycling is a great way to not only reduce the strain on the environment but also your wallet. You can let your artistic side shine as you recycle pieces you can find at our sale and find new uses for them.
Here are 7 ideas to upcycle items in your home:
Stack and glue some books togethers or just one. Cut out space for your potted plant inside your books. Pop your plant right in!
Some book spines have a nice design, especially the ones from older books. Just cut the spine out and put a hole punch at the top. Tie a ribbon through it and use it as a bookmark.
Transform plain or uniquely designed bowls just by reusing your old candles you already have in your house.
Have some old, outdated vases that don’t fit your style anymore? Give them a makeover by simply spray painting them.
Have some old baskets laying around? Paint on a fresh coast of paint, add filler, and then add the gifted items inside. Use cellophane to complete the basket and hold all the contents together.
Rather than leave your old plates to gather dust in the attic, repurpose them into a dish plate gallery wall. You can lay plates out on your wall in a free-flowing shape, or super organized and symmetrical.
Transform old plates into display-worthy mini memo boards just by applying a bit of chalkboard paint to the center of the dish.
