BETHLEHEM, Pa. – At Historic Bethlehem preparations are being made. The historic mill will be filled with art lovers Thursday and Friday.

“This week we have Got Art at the Luckenbach Mill,” said Lindsey Jancay, director of collections and engagement for Historic Bethlehem.

The historic site was built in 1869 and served as a grist mill in Bethlehem’s Colonial Industrial Quarter.

“But today, we have it filled with art,” said Jancay.

67 pieces, to be exact, all from Lehigh Art Alliance artists who donated their work. This is the third year for Got Art, which operates sort of like an elevated drawing for ticket holders.

“So your name is pulled. And then you get to pick the piece that you would like to take home,” said Jancay.

She says the proceeds from the sale will help preserve the Luckenbach Mill.

Last year, the funds paid for hanging systems, so the mill could continue to showcase local artists, some of whom capture the history of the area on canvas.

“There will be a nice selection of things to choose from to take home, anything from abstract work to realism, watercolor oil,” said Jancay.

Something for everyone.

Got Art has a preview night March 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The main event and drawing is March 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The doors open at 5 p.m. and the drawing is at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $150.
