Can you make a mean blueberry pie? Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites wants you to compete in a series of culinary contests as part of the organization’s annual Blueberry Festival in July.
It’s the first time the festival is hosting cooking contests. The following categories are open: Blueberry Pie with Crumb Topping, Double Crust Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Salad Dressing or Sauce, Gluten-free Blueberry Bars or Cookies, Cold Summer Soup, Healthy Blueberry Snack, No-Bake Blueberry Dessert.
The contests will be open to all amateur cooks 18 and older. To compete, all applicants must complete a registration form that can be found on the Historic Bethlehem site. The forms are due by July 4 with a $12 registration fee.
he Bethlehem blueberry festival at Burnside Plantation will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 18 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 19.
This event will feature homemade blueberry desserts, local music performances and kids activities and crafts.
Parking will be available in the Martin Tower parking lot.
