The popular Cocktail Trail event in Bethlehem really was a well-traversed trail last year, given that COVID-19 restrictions prevented trail travelers from sitting down and enjoying their to-go refreshments.
Fortunately, with those restrictions recently lifted, there’ll be plenty more opportunity to take a break and down your drink at one of the many establishments participating.
This year’s Summer Spirits Cocktail Trail, happening on June 12, is one of the first major events in Downtown Bethlehem since the state’s COVID-19 restrictions were lifted on Memorial Day. With over 15 of Bethlehem’s favorite businesses participating, it’ll be the first time stepping back inside some of the downtown area’s beloved institutions for quite some time, which couldn’t be a better reason to kick back with a drink or shop with a slushie. The event is put on by the Downtown Bethlehem Association.
Tickets for the trail cost $45 and can be purchased on the Downtown Bethlehem Association’s website.
There are two trails this year, the Blue trail and the Yellow trail, that span up and down Main and Broad Streets. Each trail has 12 stops — six of them are the same on each trail, but both also have six stops unique to that trail. And cocktail connoisseurs can visit the locations in any order they want. While there aren’t any more restrictions in place, the variance and optionality of the trail(s) will still help to prevent any one location from being too crowded.
Both trails will include Musselman Jewelers, Franklin Hill Vineyards, Historic Hotel Bethlehem, Seasons Olive Oil and Vinegar Tap Room, Christmas City Spirits, and Edge Restaurant.
The Blue trail will also feature Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, Plants + Vintage, Platz by ArtsQuest, Twisted Olive, and Urbano Mexican Kitchen and Bar. The Yellow Trail’s other stops include Domaci, Hand Cut Crystal, Tapas on Main, The Melting Pot, The Gem Shop, and Hyatt Place Bethlehem.
