Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites is again offering Kid’s Club programs through a partnership with ArtsQuest.

Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts is located in Downtown Bethlehem.

It will be run by artist Natalie Hartman, a freelance artist from Bethlehem who teaches arts and crafts to school-age children at the Banana Factory and runs after-school art programs for local schools.

The first two programs will be held at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, 427 N. New St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11 and Aug. 15.

Light Bulb Hot Air Balloons, on July 11, will be held in collaboration with the steampunk exhibit. Hartman will show participants how to arrange acrylic lightbulbs and found objects as creative inspiration to create steampunk-styled airships.

On Aug. 15, participants will learn to quilt without a needle and thread. Hartman will walk participants through the steps to making beautiful quilted star keepsake boxes out of decorative papers and traditional quilting patterns.

Upcoming programs include September 19- Old Time Photo Booth Props, Sept. 19; October 24- Haunted Dollhouse Scrapbook Album, Oct. 24; November 21- Clay Cookie Dough Ornaments, Nov. 21; and I Believe: Images of Santa craft project, Dec. 19.

A family membership at $75 gets you free access to Kid’s Club programs all year long as well as free admission to our museums.

For nonmembers, Kid’s Club activities are free with admission to the museum starting at $12 for adults, $6 for kids 4-12.
