A new Christmas attraction, featuring festive sights and sounds, is coming soon to the Christmas City.
Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites’ “Christmas in the Quarter,” presented by Albarell Electric Inc., aims to offer “a safe, engaging holiday experience” when it debuts this weekend in the city’s historic Colonial Industrial Quarter, according to a news release.
The attraction, opening Nov. 6 and running 2-8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays until Dec. 27, will be a “one-stop-shop for all things Christmas,” with a variety of outdoor and indoor activities, the release states.
For the first time, the Colonial Industrial Quarter’s historic buildings will be illuminated at dusk each evening, and guests strolling the grounds can enjoy festive lights and holiday trees decorated by the Bethlehem Garden Club.
Holiday music and footage from past local Christmas performances will play on an outdoor movie screen, while Christmas Cottages with heaters will allow up to five guests to get cozy with food from the Van Pelt Hot Dog Co. food truck and drinks from an outdoor winter bar, featuring beer and spirits from local producers Cave Brewing, Xplorer Spirits and Kilimanjaro Distillery.
Inside the Luckenbach Mill, visitors also will be able to find Christmas gifts and decorations at a pop-up shopping experience, take a family Christmas card photo at a photo-op area and enjoy live local music, local holiday art and five make-and-take kids’ crafts and activities, including a punched tin ornament, pinecone bird feeder and decorate-your-own Moravian star.
