That time of year in Bethlehem
Historic Holidays and Christmas City Stroll Walking Tour: The holiday season gets underway in Bethlehem on Friday. Christmas in the Quarter begins Friday and will run through Dec. 27, 2-8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. For the first time, the Colonial Industrial Quarter will be Christmas headquarters. Historic buildings will be illuminated for the first time each night at dusk. For tickets and information, click here. The walking tour tells the story of Bethlehem’s unique beginning in 1741, the tales of a candle-in-every-window, and the renowned Bethlehem Star. Historic highlights include Bethlehem’s Victorian and colonial architecture, including two National Historic Landmarks and includes a walk-through of the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem. 1 p.m., 3 p.m., beginning Friday through Dec. 30. Warren Miller Ski Adventure Virtual Livestream Film event: Narrated by Olympian Jonny Mosely, “Future Retro,” tracks legendary skiers as they journey to the ancient home of the sport, Switzerland; rip through the peaks of Iceland, using a 1,300-year-old farm as their base; and challenge Alaska’s high mountains, among other feats. Riding for the kids
Tucker’s Toy Run in Northampton: The 10-year anniversary motorcycle ride to donate toys and other items to the pediatric patients of St. Luke’s University Health Network. Riders leave Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club in Northampton at noon and travel to Laubach Avenue, right onto 329, right on Airport Road, left on Schoenersville Road, right on Eighth Avenue to 378 to Brighton Street, past St. Luke’s University Hospital to Bishop Thorpe. 10 a.m., Saturday.
