Proudly wear your Christmas worst to Historic Bethlehem’s Ugly Holiday Sweater Party Dec. 15 at the Kemerer Museum in conjunction with its “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” exhibit.
You can see some of our most fashionable ways to stay warm over the years — from muffs to Jackie Kennedy-style coats— in the exhibit through Jan. 15.
Learn how to tell real fur from fake fur and how fur clothing is made from pelts. The exhibit features historic photographs of Lehigh Valley residents in their finest knits, wools and fur.
See how textile techniques from the old days inspire contemporary textile artists through a mini exhibition and demonstrations by The Knitters Edge in Bethlehem.
The holiday sweater party starts at 5 p.m. A winner will be chosen and receive a prize. The party will also include a talk by local spotlight artist Diane Hutchinson, whose paintings of Bethlehem are on display. Admission is $10; free, Historic Bethlehem members.
Regular holiday hours for the Kemerer Museum are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
