CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Allentown/Fountain Hill, is looking for a volunteer to work in our gift shop. Duties include waiting on customers, assisting residents with purchases, running the register, and keeping stock filled. Cash register experience is helpful; training will be given. CENTER FOR CAREER PATHWAYS & LITERACY AT LCCC, Allentown, is looking for volunteer tutors for our GED and ESL programs. Must be able to tutor at least 3 hours a week and have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject. Tutor orientations will be held 6 p.m., July 14 and 1 p.m., July 15. FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem, is seeking a reliable, volunteer age 16 and older to serve as a receptionist and assistant. Duties will include welcoming volunteers to our facility, escorting them to production areas, and assisting Volunteer Supervisor with miscellaneous tasks. LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK MARATHON FOR VIA needs volunteers ages 12 and older for race day between 6 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Sept. 13. Shift times vary depending on location. Volunteers are needed to be course marshals, staff water stations, or distribute food to the runners at the finish line for this marathon that takes place through the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton.
