Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites awarded grant from PA Historical and Museum Commission

BETHLEHEM, PA, SEPT. 11, 2023 — Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) has announced that the organization has been awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
Grant funding will be used to catalog, rehouse, and digitize all archival, reference, and supporting material — housed at the Luckenbach Mill — relating to Bethlehem’s founding in 1741 through the end of Moravian Church’s control
HBMS’ ultimate objective is to improve the accessibility of the archives and update finding aids and records for in-person researchers.
Work on the project officially started last week. As the work progresses, HBMS has indicated that they are “excited to see what hidden treasures we find!”
The organization will report progress online and on social media detailing information on essential items they discover.
