Release: Holiday Dinner & Auction

BETHLEHEM, PA—On Saturday, December 6, 2014, join us for the 22nd annual Holiday Dinner & Auction benefit, a celebration to mark 22 years of premier holiday fundraising preserving 20 Historic Structures, 2 National Historic Landmarks, and the establishment of the Historic Moravian Bethlehem National Historic Landmark District. This wonderful holiday dinner event features an original art auction, live auction, and silent auction held in the blast furnace room featuring the spectacular backdrop of the Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces.

The 2014 featured art selection is “Monocacy Winter”, an original paper cutting by Nancy Shelley. Don’t miss your chance to bid on this exquisite piece that captures the essence of Bethlehem’s scenic winter. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites will also be congratulating our 2014 Individual and Business honorees­—Sandra Corpora and the Allied Building Corporation.

Beginning at 5:30pm, the Benefactor’s Red Carpet reception will feature the 2014 honorees as well as the start of the art and silent auctions. Then, at 6:30pm, the guest cocktail reception will begin for the rest of the art and silent auction participants. Beginning at 7:30pm will be the Live Auction, where you can bid on exceptional items such as “Monocacy Winter”, followed by dinner and complimentary wine in the Musikfest Café. The night will be capped with a live performance by Matt Shelosky and his Jazz Quartet before the closing of the silent auction and checkout.

On Saturday, November 23, 2014 HBMS will host the Art Preview Wine & Cheese party from 4pm to 7pm at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. Enjoy a preview of the art that will be auctioned off at the event complemented with a various selection of wines and cheeses, all while roaming the historic galleries of the Kemerer Museum, including exhibitions such as Bright Lights, Big City and the Local Artist Spotlight: Michael Sandy.

There are two ticket levels available for guests to purchase in support of Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. The Benefactor ticket includes access to the Preview Party at Kemerer as well as both the benefactor reception and guest reception and the Holiday Dinner & Auction. The Guest ticket includes admission to the guest cocktail reception as well as the main event. Cocktail attire will be required and complimentary valet parking will be available.
