For the first time ever the Colonial Industrial Quarter is illuminated thanks to Albarell Electric Inc.!

November 6 - December 27
Thursday & Friday: 5 PM - 8 PM
Saturday: 2 PM - 8 PM
Sunday: 11 AM - 5 PM

The Historic Colonial Industrial Quarter is the perfect setting for holiday festivities. Join us on weekends in November and December for some holiday fun for everyone, including your furry friends! Activities include pop-up shopping, Putz and art exhibits, family photo opportunities, live music, food trucks, an outdoor winter bar, and family activities and workshops.

To light up your holiday season, the historic buildings will be illuminated for the first time ever each night at dusk.

*Please note, some days are donation only and ticket prices are subject to change*

HBMS is proud to be partnering with two local food pantries in November! Donations can be dropped off at Christmas in the Quarter and will receive a 20% off coupon for holiday shopping at Christmas in the Quarter and in the Visitor Center and Museum Store.

Items in Need:

  • Canned vegetables of any kind including tomato sauce
  • Grains - 2-3 pound bags of white or brown rice, pasta (any kind), Bacalitos (boxed)
  • Breakfast - cereal, hot cereal, breakfast bars, cornmeal, instant oats
  • Canned tuna, chicken, seafood
  • Cooking bases and seasonings - Sofrito, Sazon, Adobo, ready to use marinades, olives

The Touchstone company will be performing an in-person "mini Follies" at Christmas in the Quarter, featuring clownish characters delivering classic Christmas carols to shoppers.

It's the holiday season, so that means it's time for Christmas parties! Join Black River Farms and taste some new recipes using their WarDog Spirits to use at your next party.

$15 - includes admission to Christmas in the Quarter

This holiday let's get thrifty! Meet with local artisans from Domaci who know some tricks about making thrifty items look beautiful and will help inspire you this holiday season.

Join McCarthy's Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar for a whiskey pairing class! Learn all about how to identify and create a whiskey profile as you taste 4 different whiskeys alongside food. Class is limited to 10 people.

Join the Young Chef Academy - Allentown for hands on activities including piping, measuring, pasta rolling, dipping, coating and more! There will also be a cookie decorating contest with prizes.

Parking for Christmas in the Quarter is first come, first served and located onsite in the Colonial Industrial Quarter and in the adjacent Spring Street Parking Lot. Overflow parking available in Johnston Park.

Get cozy at Christmas in the Quarter by renting a Christmas Cottage. Each cottage has a table and chairs with a heater and is available for guests to reserve hour-long time slots. Fits 5 comfortably. Visit with friends and family to relax from a long day of shopping, site-seeing, or get your favorite meal to-go and set up private dinner!

For the safety and well-being of shoppers, vendors, volunteers and staff, it is important that everyone follow these Safety Protocols:

  • All vendors, shoppers, and HBMS staff and volunteers must wear protective masks in in all outdoor and indoor spaces except when eating or drinking.
  • HBMS will follow event capacity guidelines established by the Commonwealth of PA.
  • Shop individually or in pairs to maintain social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located on Water Street, Ohio Road, and outside of the bathrooms
  • Sanitize your hands before entering the Colonial Industrial Quarter.
  • Adhere to 6’ physical distancing while in the market. Give space to those around you, at least 6’ while shopping, waiting in line, and strolling the grounds.
  • Do not consume any foods while in the market shopping area.
  • Enjoy your beverages and ready-to-eat foods outside not in the market area.
  • If possible, vendors will have a different person handle products and handle money, or they will wash hands or sanitize in between these tasks.
  • Christmas Cottages will be disinfected after each usage.
  • At the end of your Christmas Cottage reservation, please exit the cottage promptly. This allows HBMS staff and volunteers to disinfect all surfaces before the next reservation.
