About the Lehigh Art Alliance

Founded in 1935 by Professor Garth Howland of Lehigh University, the LAA continues as an organization for amateur and professional artists in the Lehigh Valley, and as a cultural and educational entity for the people of the area.

The LAA has always attempted to serve both the artist and the community equally. Juried exhibitions give the artist an opportunity to display their work, and give the appreciators of art an opportunity to view what regional artists are producing.

The mission of the Lehigh Art Alliance is to support local artists with exhibition opportunities as well as to offer exposure through our website (lehighartalliance.org). Flash News e-mails provide information about local art events, as well as publicize the activities and accomplishments our members.
