In addition to tours of the house and barns of Burnside, the Historic Bethlehem Foodways Group will be providing cooking demonstrations in the Summer Kitchen. This month’s cooking feature is Salad Days. In addition to our monthly cooking demonstration, you will have the opportunity to enjoy colonial dance lessons from our costumed experts. No experience is required, all ages welcome! All activities are included with Pass Into History admission, and members are FREE.

Colonial Dance Lessons: Bethlehem Heritage Dancers

A newly formed group in the Lehigh Valley to promote dancing of all styles and eras.  At this event they plan to demonstrate and provide simple instruction (encourage participation) for several dances taken from the John Playford’s 17th century dance manual, The English Dancing Master.  These types of dances are often seen in Regency period films such as Emma and Pride and Prejudice.
