We are thrilled to have helped conjure a little magic and create a little history over the years for many wonderful clients. From the storied halls of the Moravian Museum Saal to the rustic retreat of the Burnside Plantation, our guests had gathered, met, and celebrated across our four historic sites for over 20 years. "Growing up in Bethlehem, my daughter wanted her wedding/reception in a location that holds a special place in her heart and one that would be interesting and memorable for all the guests both near and far. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites was the perfect choice. The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful Saal in the Geimenhaus and the reception followed at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. The beauty and elegance of both locations made for a memorable and "magical" event. Our out-of-town guests commented repeatedly about how much they loved the location and the availability of both hotels and restaurants made their stay effortless. The management (Malissa, thank you) from Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites was great and made the day as beautiful as the bride and groom. Coordinating the entire event from Germany (where both the bride and groom live) was made seamless through their wedding planner, Tiffany Sondergaard. If you're looking for an elegant and quaint venue for a special event, look no further than Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites!"

"Burnside Plantation was a perfect spot for us to get married. The space was beautiful and unique and it only took a few thoughtful decorations to make it "ours". Our guests loved the site, particularly those with kids as it was really family friendly. The Historic Bethlehem event staff was exceptional and responsive and the vendors we worked with were affordable and offered excellent service. Our guests loved that it was close to downtown and it lent itself to a great weekend for everyone."

"The Lehigh Art Alliance was honored to host fine artist Kenn Errol Backhaus, at The Historic Luckenbach Mill, for a three-day workshop. Kenn is recognized by the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America, among other national organisations, as a Master Painter. His works are in public and private collections throughout the world. The workshop focused on Composition and Brushwork, but covered a wide range of technical and creative challenges faced by the artists in attendance.
Everyone attending was impressed with the comfort and beauty of the facility. Surrounded by all the historic [Colonial] Industrial Quarter sites, the atmosphere was perfect for the creatives. Kenn actually stopped at one point and made the artists all gaze out the windows at the beautiful scenery. It was a huge success! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity. "

"Fig Bethlehem launch parties bring the community together four times a year to celebrate our love of “all things Bethlehem”. Our ideal location is centrally-located, user-friendly, festive, and accommodating. Luckenbach Mill was all that and more. It’s a beautiful, historic space with TONS of character, and was customizable as our guest list grew. (Let’s move the bar over here! Place our musician here instead! Add a few more chairs!) Our guests raved about the space, and all the touches— strung lights, windows overlooking the Historic Industrial Quarter, eclectic artwork—made it extra special. Plus, Rachel and the team at HBMS are total pros, and a pleasure to work with. Highly, highly recommend Luckenbach Mill (and all the HBMS spaces) for anyone’s special event!"

"We were looking for a cozy and unique venue for my mom's memorial. My whole family could not have been happier and the place was a perfect size for many people. We wanted to be able to be walking distance from downtown Bethlehem. Having plenty of free parking was a big plus. Absolutely beautiful and great help with set up of chairs and tables that they supplied. An historic gem for any event!"

“In searching for a wedding venue, my husband and I wanted a location that was convenient to hotels and restaurants for our out-of-town guests but also had that rustic feel that we were looking for. The Luckenbach Mill was the perfect fit. Our guests raved about this location... from it's green lawns and historic buildings to the original architecture inside the mill. The Historic Bethlehem team was wonderful to work with and gave us a perfect day. A big Thank you to the entire team."

"We had such nice event at Luckenbach. Having our reception downstairs and moving upstairs for dinner worked out perfectly. Thank you to HBMS for all your assistance. We’ll be back again for sure!"

"My husband and I had the most romantic day at the Colonial Industrial Quarter. Our day went so smoothly and we were able to focus on the most important thing-each other. Thanks to Historic Bethlehem and our Coordinator ... for making the most important day of our lives so simple and smooth. I can't recommend this location enough-the perfect balance of history and romance!"

"We just wanted to thank you again - the Christmas cocktail party we hosted at the Luckenbach Mill was really fabulous! The wide windowsills, thick pillars, and open ceiling make the Mill a really beautiful old venue, and your help was invaluable. Many of our clients had not been in the Mill before, and they continue to rave about the event."

"The venues offered by Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites were incredible. We were married in the quaint Saal at the Moravian Museum in December. Our guests loved the historical value and the quaint feel of the museum. Afterwards, our party moved to the Luckenbach Mill for the cocktail hour and reception. Here we had liberty to decorate as we pleased adding lights and our own personal touches.
Our guests cannot stop talking about how beautiful and unique the venues were! Not to mention all of the wonderful backdrops for the stunning photos that were taken that day! Working with the prompt and welcoming site rental coordinator couldn’t have been any easier!! Getting married at the Historical Sites at Christmas time is a must… or any time for that matter!"

"Thank you ever so much for all you did to help make Bethlehem’s Garden Club’s standard flower show, The Roaring Twenties, a delightful experience. Our club members cant say enough good things about the Kemerer Museum – opening your facility to host our judges luncheon was delightful. You were the BEST hosts - friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. It was a hectic three days but you were always accommodating and supportive. Anything we discovered we needed your folks were on the spot – ready to help us solve a problem.
Thank YOU! Your tone and manner was what set the stage for a grand partnership. Moreover, the hospitality you treated us was phenomenal. It was a set up fit for kings and queens – you made us feel like royalty!"

"Our wedding at Burnside Plantation was amazing and perfect. The venue is beautiful and allowed for individual touches, beautiful photos, and a lot of free space for our guests to roam around."
~ Burnside Plantation Bride
“With such strong ties to Bethlehem as well as family and friends traveling from afar to celebrate our marriage, we knew we wanted a venue that could offer both beauty and character. Our vision was unique, but the versatility of Burnside Plantation allowed us to do some amazing things, from ceremony to final sendoff and everything in between, including cocktail hour and reception.
The [Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites] staff allowed us to enjoy such freedom with the venue space. Our guests were awed by the charm and beauty of the setting, and we were swept into the magic of our happiest day. We have fond memories and breathtaking imagery that captures a wedding day even more spectacular than which we could have imagined.”

"Burnside was a beautiful setting for my wedding! The staff was very helpful and were really great about my decorations and decor."
~ Kate, married 7/01/2017 - WeddingWire.com testimonial
"Our wedding at Burnside was absolutely stunning! This location is most definitely a hidden gem in the Lehigh Valley. We received so many compliments on the location, uniqueness and the incredible staff the day of. I believe there is so much value in this site as well. You are given a lot of opportunity to make it your own and take advantage of all the buildings on site. From the barns, plantation house, corn cribs, willows, apple orchard, horses, garden, and ample space in the meadows, there is so much to do with this space. It def is a nice break from the stuffy reception hall.
The staff at Burnside was very attentive and informative throughout the planning process. Although we did change hands a few times throughout, the team that they have right now is great. They answered all of my a million questions in a timely manner and were on top of all aspects the day of.
I would recommend if interested in this site to thoroughly research all vendors on the mandatory and preferred list. Make sure to ask for quotes before booking to get a better aspect of what the overall day will cost. There are definitely budget friendly options here and others that are a bit more costly. A good range. I would also recommend a site tour and come fully equipped with questions. There are rules since its a historic site and rules for the city limits of Bethlehem.
I would highly recommend this site for a beautiful, memorable outdoor space. It felt like we were back in time."

"The most beautiful venue in the Lehigh Valley for an outdoor wedding!"
~ Nicole, married at Burnside Plantation in 2014, WeddingWire.com testimonial
"I have to first start off by saying that the current site manager ... was INCREDIBLE!! She not only responded to each and every one of my e-mails in record time but was so helpful in the days leading up to the wedding. The location is so beautiful and barely needs any decoration at all."
