Join us the first Sunday of every month (June through November) to explore the fascinating stories and exhibitions inside Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem. Admission is free from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., thanks to the generous support of the Jones Children Fund. All are welcome!

Design a Silk Fan

Where: Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts (427 N. New St., Bethlehem)
When: September 3, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Dating back as far as 3,000 years, handheld fans have been used in dance, in war, to communicate secret messages, and to keep us cool. This month, decorate your own handheld silk fan. While you’re here, learn about the little-known language of fans.

Make Embroidered Hoops

Trick or treat! Halloween is right around the corner, and you know what that means – it’s time to figure out how you’re going to carry all your candy! At the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, get in the Halloween spirit by decorating your very own canvas trick-or-treat bag!

 Make Fall Scented Candles

The tradition of candle-making goes back thousands of years, but it wasn’t until recently that we began to add scents. At the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, fall into Fall and make your very own fall scented candles! Candles will be made with beeswax sheets and fragrance oils.
