Jim Lukens was schooled at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Barnstone Studios, Jim's work is viewed and collected as a quintessential addition to the area's vibrant art scene.
After years of forays, Lukens settled in Richland Township, Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania where he maintains a home and studio.
For a decade, he has been represented by Chapman Gallery of Doylestown, PA. He has generously opened his heart and expertise to teach students from beginning to the familiar in the techniques of oil painting, encouraging them to embrace their own style. On November 4, 2017, he opened the Main Street Gallery in Quakertown where patrons can view his selected works and the work of his students.
Jim was thrilled to be invited to be the Featured Artist for the 2020 Holiday Soiree and Auction.

HBMS Art at Home
As the Lehigh Valley continues to shelter in place, we turn to virtual meetings and increased social media outreach. These new interactions have offered a glimpse inside the homes we built, surrounding ourselves with art, heirlooms, and photos of loved ones. It is clear that art transforms our homes and brightens our outlook daily.
Through the Holiday Dinner and Art Auction, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites have introduced more than 600+ works of art from local artists into homes across the region and country. A few works have even found residence in other countries!
Do you have a piece of art that you have purchased from Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites? We want to see it!
You can share by emailing a picture of you and the artwork you’ve collected at HBMS events to firstname.lastname@example.org or by posting your image to Facebook or Instagram and tagging Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites along with #HBMSArtAtHome.
Images will be posted in the slideshow below. Hover over each photo to view the artist and who submitted the photo.
These sponsors provide continued support of Bethlehem's heritage and we hope in turn you will support them.
