Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) is already welcoming new visitors and planning for an even brighter future! Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening:

  • In October, we hosted international dignitaries and members of the Moravian community for a special tour of the Moravian Church Settlement – Bethlehem, guided by our expert docents.
  • Since the UNESCO announcement, we have welcomed guests from over 14 countries to our historic sites and museums.
  • We’ve expanded our operating hours to seven days a week, opened a new Welcome Center at the Goundie House, and introduced a heritage concierge service for visitors.
  • Restoration efforts are ongoing, including the final stages of work at the Grist Miller’s House in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, where we’re removing and repurposing the steel beams that have supported the building for over two decades.
  • We’re also exploring new internship and externship opportunities for local university students, creating pathways for experiential learning and community engagement.

Your generous support makes all of this possible. With your gift, you help us:

  • Maintain and care for the 20 historic buildings in our care
  • Provide visitors with a world-class experience, thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers
  • Expand our virtual offerings, so people can explore Bethlehem’s history from anywhere, anytime
  • Fund educational programs for local schoolchildren, teaching them about the Moravian Church Settlements’ unique place in Bethlehem’s history and our shared national and international heritage.

We are so grateful for your ongoing commitment to preserving Bethlehem’s rich history. We hope you will consider supporting us today as we work toward raising $200,000 annually to expand our programs, care for our buildings, and continue welcoming visitors from near and far.
