Lehigh Valley Live: Abstract art by artificial intelligence? It exists, and you can see it in Bethlehem.

An opening is scheduled for Friday for what former Express-Times Publisher Al Kratzer said is the first art show in the Lehigh Valley of an artificial intelligence artist’s work.

The show is called Algorithmic Abstractions.

The event is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the 1869 Luckenbach Mill in Bethlehem’s Colonial Industrial Quarter. The show, which began Saturday, runs through June 23.

Krazter will briefly address those into attendance and explain how the long-time local artist and musician creates his abstract paintings with with artificial intelligence and traditional tools.

There will be light refreshments and jazz due of Mike Lorenz and Patrick Poladian will perform.

The opening is part of Historic Bethlehem’s “Design after Dark” series.

Event admission is free for Bethlehem Historic Museums & Sites members and $10 for nonmembers.
