A sure sign of fall: Bethlehem Harvest Festival

Each year at the start of October, Bethlehem’s Main Street goes full-autumn.

The 14th annual Harvest Festival will usher in fall with an array of tasty soups, beer, wine and family fun when it returns 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at sites along Main Street.

First up: The tasting passports, which run from 1 to 5 p.m.:

Soup: You can enjoy samples of homemade soups with downtown merchants such as Bethlehem Brew Works, Billy’s Downtown Diner, Edge Restaurant, McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub & Whiskey Bar, Santoro’s Franks & Chili, Tap Room at Historic Hotel Bethlehem, Tapas on Main, Tavern at the Sun Inn, The Brick, Twisted Olive, and Urbano Mexican Kitchen & Bar. How much: $25. (Note: This often sells out)

Wine: You can taste samples from local wineries at downtown merchants including Bethlehem House Gallery, Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn, Franklin Hill Vineyards, Hand Cut Crystal, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, Historic Hotel Bethlehem, Knobs n’ Knockers, Musselman Jewelers, Seasons Olive Oil & Vinegar Tap Room, The Gem Shop, and The Melting Pot. How much: $30

Both those passports must be purchased in advance.

Beer: Taste samples from local breweries all along Main Street (in advance or day of if passports remain). How much: $35.

From 11 a..m to 8 p.m., you can stop by the Biergarten at the Sun Inn Courtyard.

$4 beers for wine and beer passport holders

$6 beers for non-passport holders

You’ll also find live music, food, craft, and retail vendors along Main Street. There will be a kids’ zone so bring the whole families (even furry friends.)
