Pocono Record: 7th annual Apple Days & Market To Go

BETHLEHEM — Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites invites the public to fall in love with everything apple at the seventh annual Apple Days & Market To Go. This year, the event will continue with a new safe visitor format offering the Market To Go with pre-order and safe drive-thru pickup from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Sept. 25 and Apple Days onsite visits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 and 27 at Burnside Plantation, 1461 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem.

Patrons are able to pre-order online, and pick up apple desserts this year including pie and tarts from Tombler’s Bakery, strudel and dumplings from The Bakery Nook, apple cider donut holes from Back Door Bakeshop, apple cranberry crumb pie bites from The Bake-A-Re, and more.

Bring the family out to visit the “farm-in-the-city” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 and 27 at Burnside Plantation for Apple Days. Pre-purchased timed tickets and masks are required for COVID-19 Green Phase Guidelines. Admission for a 90-minute time slot is $3 for adults and $3 for children, including a take home craft and activity bag for the kids including: pinecone birdfeeders, lunch bag puppet, fall leaf window ornament, Moravian paper dolls, and other activities.

Weekend visitors will be able to browse and shop items from favorite regional crafters, gourmet food vendors, and enjoy individually packaged apple baked goods. Food from Voracious Deli will be available to purchase, and individuals 21 and older can enjoy hard apple cider and The Big Apple Cocktail from Xplorer Spirits produced by Kilimanjaro Distillery in Allentown. Bring even more apple goodness home by shopping the selection of baking mixes, shrub, apple butter, jams and jellies, salsas and sauces, and more gourmet food items in the Apple Shoppe.
