A creative spin on your Friday night out.

Design After Dark offers a new place to get together with an artistic flair! Hosting trivia nights, beer gardens, documentary film showings, and retro game nights - this is not your typical night at the museum. Dive into history, art, and design while taking a trip down memory lane through local historic trivia and some of your favorite childhood pastimes.

Join us for rotating events at our many historic sites including the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, the only museum dedicated to the decorative arts in Pennsylvania, and the 1869 Luckenbach Mill located in Bethlehem's Colonial Industrial Quarter!

The holidays are fast approaching – Christmas creep began in September! Get a head start on your shopping at the Domaci pop-up shop at the Kemerer Museum. Find the perfect gift for everyone on your list – a blast furnace ornament for the proud Bethlehem native, a beard bottle opener for your friend participating in No-shave November, and fancy bar soap for your sister, who’s gotten really into self-care. Lehigh Valley With Love 100th Podcast Taping*

Time flies - and now George and Tyler of Lehigh Valley With Love Podcast are taping their 100th episode! Join them at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts for a live taping featuring local philanthropist and the owner of the largest private purse collection in the United States, Ilene Hochberg Wood. Enjoy the conversation surrounded by over 500 purses from her personal collection on display in PURSEonality: A Stylish Handbag History.

George and Tyler will kick off the event at the Live Advent Calendar at the 1810 Goundie House before walking up Market Street to the Kemerer Museum. Doors open at 5:30pm, with the taping starting at 6:00pm.

Cave Brewing will be on site to help celebrate this milestone with their easy-drinking beers.

April 12 - Lost Bethlehem Trivia Night

Grab your trivia crew and show off your hometown know-how in Bethlehem trivia hosted by Steven Bost. View items in the Kemerer Museum collection from places long gone, like the Broad Street theatres, Calypso Island, and the covered bridge.

(Legally!) explore the interior of Martin Tower through virtual reality provided by Alloy 5. In between, enjoy custom cocktails featuring A-Treat soda.

April 19 - The 100 Years Show

Not many people are familiar with the story of Carmen Herrera, the oldest working artist in the world. Herrera worked in obscurity for much of the 20th century before making a splash on the art scene at 88 years old. Now 103, The 100 Years Show follows her as she prepares for her 100th birthday show. Enjoy a night of discourse and conversation with Hispanic artists in the Lehigh Valley, then settle in for the 30-minute documentary with a drink and complementary snacks.

Join us for the Lehigh Valley's FIRST Artificial Intelligence Art Show by Al Krazter! Kratzer’s new body of work featured in "Algorithmic Abstractions" amalgamates multiple machine learning routines to create unique “man and computer” collaborations. Come see the future of art! Featuring a brief artist talk on the creative process and the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence art. Enjoy live music from the jazz duo of Mike Lorenz and Patrick Poladian, and light refreshments.

Independence Tour

Walk the same streets some of our founding fathers did in celebration of Independence Day! See Bethlehem through John Adams’ eyes as your costumed guide explains the role Bethlehem and the Moravian community played during the Revolutionary War. The air is crisp, the days are shorter, and leaves are changing color - it's finally fall! Celebrate your fall favorites - flannel, apple picking, pumpkin spice lattes - with trivia hosted by Steven Bost. Some may call your favorite fall activities "basic," but you know they're jealous of how great they are.

Trivia begins at 6:30pm. Beforehand, learn more about the Colonial Industrial Quarter on the first floor and view the art exhibit on the second floor.

Moravian Museum of Bethlehem - God's Acre Cemetery - Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts

It’s October, and that means Halloween is fast approaching. Get in the spirit with a special nighttime Death and Dying tour during Design After Dark! Starting at the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem and making your way up to God's Acre Cemetery, learn about the funerary practices of the Moravians. After, come back to the Kemerer Museum for a celebration of life and fortune telling.
