The Traveling Trunk contains a variety of colonial objects and activities that provide students with a hands-on learning experience in the classroom. Students will be able to create and write in their own journals, learn how colonial settlers spent their time at work and at play, and use reasoning skills to identify colonial mystery objects.
The Traveling Trunk is designed to support and enrich classroom education by providing and interdisciplinary approach to colonial studies. The materials and activities outlined in the Traveling Trunk give students an opportunity to compare and contrast colonial and modern lifestyles in the areas of clothing, food, work, and other aspects of daily life.
