Dear Friends of Historic Bethlehem
Museums & Sites:
No matter what ‘home’ means to you, there is surely something nostalgic about the place we call home. It’s the place where we eat, enjoy friends and family, showcase our home decorations that hold special memories and it’s the place we make our own.
In this spirit, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our homeowners who graciously opened their inspiring homes for the 26th Anniversary of the Rooms to View Preview Soirée and House Tour. Historic Bethlehem Museum & Sites is thrilled to feature some of the area’s finest architecture, interiors, and gardens which make Bethlehem one of the most charming small towns in America.
HMBS cares for the only decorative arts museum in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that speaks to style and design over three centuries. It was back in early 1992 when a group of Board Members of the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts wanted to excite the community about the homes and the local history and created the Rooms to View fundraiser. Today, we appreciate their vision and thank them for the support that has been raised over the last quarter century as the community of Bethlehem is special in so many ways.
Please know that your support of this event has made a difference. Also, without our generous sponsors, we could not showcase this presentation of style and design to the community and continue educating the public about our 20 historic sites, two of which are National Historic Landmarks.
As someone once said, history influences how we see others, what we value, and how we perceive the world around us. We thank you for your part in our journey to preserve our local history. On behalf of our Board of Trustees and staff, we hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend exploring special homes in Bethlehem that make our city a great place to live, work, and play.
With sincere gratitude,
