The Historic Bethlehem Visitor Center is the place to start your visit to Bethlehem and order tour tickets, gather information, and shop in the museum store. The majority of our historic sites are within walking distance from the Visitor Center. Burnside Plantation, Bethlehem's farm in the city, is only a two-minute car ride from downtown or a 10 minute walk on the Greenway.

Bethlehem is easily reached  by car, bus, and plane and is only 85 miles from  New York City and 60 miles  from Philadelphia.

Parking in downtown Bethlehem: Public parking is available in two garages, one at North Street and another at Walnut Street. Meter parking is also available on many of the city's side streets.

From the Poconos and points north:
Take Route 33 South to Route 22 West to Route 378 South to Exit #3 (Center City). At the stop sign, make a left turn onto 3rd Avenue. At the stop light, make a left turn onto Broad Street. Then make a right onto Main Street. The Visitor Center will be on your right at the next light:  505 Main Street.

From Harrisburg and points west:
Take Route 78 East to Route 22 East to Route 378 South to Exit #3 (Center City). At the stop sign at the end of the exit, make a left onto 3rd Avenue. At the stop light, make a left onto Broad Street. Then make a right onto Main Street. The Visitor Center will be on your right at the next light: 505 Main Street.

From New Jersey, New York and points east:
Take Route 78 West to Route 33 North to Route 22 West to Route 378 South to Exit #3 (Center City). At the stop sign at the end of the exit, make a left onto 3rd Avenue. At the stop light, make a left onto Broad Street. Then make a right onto Main Street. The Visitor Center will be on your right at the next light: 505 Main Street.

From Philadelphia and points south:
Take Northeast Extension of PA Turnpike to Exit #33 (Lehigh Valley) to Route 22 East to Route 378 South to Exit #3 (Center City). At the stop sign at the end of the exit, make a left onto 3rd Avenue. At the stop light, make a left onto Broad Street. OR Take Route 309 North to Route 378 North to the Main Street Ramp Exit. At the stoplight make a left onto Main Street. The Visitor Center will be on your left at the next light: 505 Main Street.

Support your community by helping out as a volunteer at the Visitor Center & Museum Store. This is often the first place visitors go for information, souvenirs, and recommendations! Be the friendly face they remember by volunteering.

Responsibilities include greeting guests at the door and assisting with merchandise.
